Video Games are a form of entertainment where a person makes moves on a controller/keyboard/touchscreen which cause the screen to change in some way.
There are three main types of video games in today's world. Console Games, PC Games, and Mobile Games (Maybe VR games soon…) Console Games are played on a console such as a Switch, Play Station, or Xbox. PC Games are played on a Personal Computer with the most popular PC Games being Minecraft and GTA V. Mobile Games are played on a handheld device such as a phone or tablet.
There are many styles of games such as adventure, action, platformer, and shooter. Platformer Games are generally fast-paced and adventure is usually slower and played for a longer period of time.
Nintendo is one of the largest video game companies in the world who were founded in 1889. They are the creators of multiple famous video game characters such as Mario, Zelda, and Kirby.
My personal favorite style of video games is an adventure/RPG style. Some games I enjoy that fall in this category are The Legend of Zelda and the Dragon Quest series.
Many people; especially parents dislike video games as they claim that a child playing video games can cause violence in their behavior. However, I believe that these people are wrong as parents can buy their kids age-appropriate games. Moreover, by saying that video games cause violence, it also means that learning History lessons in school can cause violence.
